This was the first event of the night at our final Game Day (special “Indoor Edition” due to the fall weather). We quickly learned that this was, in fact, a “dumb luck” event – it was a frustrating struggle for some participants to earn a single point, while others lucked into several high (but not too high) rolls.
Going into the final round, Caitlin held a slight lead – after quickly scoring 10 points it was clear that her total 46 points would likely net her the Gold, so she bowed out. Zach managed to move into second place after scoring 8 points – while Rose rolled a 6 (and therefore 0 points for the round), destroying her chances at winning higher than bronze.
By the end of the final round, it was down to two final players – HP and Gennie – neither of whom had scored a single point in previous rounds. Gennie got knocked out before scoring enough to metal, but HP managed to score 34 points before deciding that it wasn’t worth trying to keep rolling to unseat Zach from second. With HP calling it, she locked in the final places of Bronze for herself, Silver for Zach, and Gold for Caitlin.
